Multiple Makeup - Task 4

Johnny Depp in "Alice in Wonderland"
I like this makeup because it uses unusual colours, pink and white I mean                                         c'mon :))also the technique of weaving is used for the eyebrows.

Lee Pace in "Guardians of the Galaxy"
I think the illusion of a double texturized face is so cool and cleverly portrays the villain that he is.

Angelina Jolie in "Maleficent"
The paleness of the face in contrast to the grey contour is what I like most about this makeup
adding to the evil vibe.

Philip Friedman in "Insidious 1&2"
I find this interesting because this man is aged with makeup and made to appear as an old woman..creepy.

Michael Keaton in "Beetlejuice"
The way he is created to look gross is cool by there being marks and stains not only on his face but on his neck also and the dirty, matted hair also adds to the effect which I like.

 Wigs

Helena Bonham Carter in "Harry Potter"
Evangeline Lilly in "The Hobbit:Desolation of Smaug"

I think the college is welcoming and relaxed and that there is a lot more than meets the eye with the course, being able to blow dry my hair the right way now is a bonus!

Probably when I managed to stupidly bump my head off the hairdressing equipment attached to the wall.

4. What is the most interesting thing you have learned or learned how to do so far?

Making prosthetic pieces with latex, you can literally make anything you want it's so cool.

5. Who is your make up Idol?

Rick Findlater, he worked on the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogies making people look abnormal or unhuman. Yes I like that stuff :))

6. Why do you want to be a MUA?

Makeup is a passion of mine. I knew I wanted a job in makeup when I realised I would enjoy it in my spare time as well as a career. It makes me happy! :)

Make-up Artist Under The Spotlight! Task 2

Rick Findlater

Rick Findlater was the head make-up artist on two of my favourite trilogies The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, geeky I know.

Rick has also worked on films such as Avatar and The Chronicles of Narnia both also great films. He has been active since 1997 and since then obtained a nomination for Best Makeup and hairstyling at the 85th Academy Awards for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The reason I have put him in the spotlight is because it baffles me how he can take a human face and turn it into all sorts of wonderful beings. I mean if I was transformed into a dwarf ? well it would be cool but I can't guarentee I'd look any good :))

So yeah this is my favourite Makeup Artist! :)

Right time to give this a whizz! Task 1

So NASMAH eh?

Well, this is the National Association of Screen Make-up Artists and Hairdressers. They spur the standard and quality of media hair and make-up to its finest as well as making sure to promote they're members. This committee was brought about in 1996 from an idea by 50 talented make-up artists and hairdressers. The association is funded by nothing other than memberships and sponsorships

Pretty cool don't you think?

There is a variety of links to companies which supply equipment, provide courses and offer help and information to all its members in need of a little guidance :)

e <----- This is the way forward! good guidance :))

One of these suppliers I checked out are Make-up International
